Your Voice: Does a vote mean more than a voice?

This last election has been characterized as one of the most divisive in recent American history.

Whether you were team #MakeAmericaGreatAgain or #ImWithHer, you can’t deny that there have been a plethora of voices telling you which way to vote.

Before the election, Congressman Jason Chaffetz was met with controversy by saying he was going to vote for Trump even though he no longer endorsed him.

Recently, Colin Kaepernick was criticized for his refusal to vote in this election, stating “To me, the oppressor isn’t going to allow you to vote your way out of your oppression.” This has been met with harsh criticism, with Stephen A Smith’s response to the situation going viral.

With all of this controversy, we have to ask ourselves does one’s voice weighs heavier than one’s vote?
